Goukaiger Character Names + OOO Spoilers

Goukaiger Character Names:

GoukaiRed- Captain Marvelous

GoukaiBlue- Joe Gibuken

GoukaiGreen- Don Dokkoiya

GoukaiPink- Aimu Do Famiyu (I'm the Famille- pronounced Famiy)

GoukaiYellow- Luka Milfy

OOO SPOILERS:

- Koukawani Combo will not appear in the TV series. It seems to be a special form OOO will get in the Summer movie. (Granted, movie only forms are rarely seen only once any more, but I digress)

-The 3rd Rider will utilize "Un-Combo" forms. They seem to be animals that are opposites to each other. The rider's man form will be using the Ari (Aunt) Medal and Ushi (Buffalo) Medal. When changing forms, the rider's externals do not change, but clear parts over his armor change patterns, and the rider only has 2-medal based form. One medal for the upper body, one for the lower body. The belt's voice seems to be a woman, in English.

-"Anffalo Combo", (Ari + Ushi) incredibly strong, and able to oppose Gatakiriba, is the main form. He also has "Anzelle" Combo (Ari + Gazelle) which can oppose Tatoba Combo.

-OOO's final form will be based around the Dinosaur Core Medals. The combo will have two forms, one as a normal rider, and one known as "Complete Full Body" which will be something animated in CG. It's possible OOO actually grows into some kind of monster/dinosaur form.

More Goukai Toy Info

Anything that is listed with a "?" is something that the original poster was unsure about.

GoukaiOh:
Releases- 2/11/11
Price- 6,500 yen
Info-

The Goukaiger's robot formed from the:
GoukaiGalleon- Red's 3-sailed galleon. Adhered to the bow are two sabres. Also, there are "Spaceship-like" Boosters at the back. GoukaiGalleon forms the head and body of Goukai Oh.

GoukaiJet- Blue's jet. Where GoukaiOh's hand is, there is a round barrel. GoukaiOh's hat is tucked behind the wings. Forms GoukaiOh's right arm and hat.

GoukaiFormula (?)- Green's racecar. A square barrel is on the fist, versus Blue's round one. This is the car's bumper.

GoukaiMarine- Pink's submarine (colored white w/pink accents). The tip of the submarine forms an ankle, but the upper part of the back is the knee. The location for its "cap" is a treasure chest.

GoukaiTrailer- Yellow's tractor trailer (cab part). Similar to pink, cap is also a treasure chest.

As stated before, GoukaiOh can enter a finishing mode, where cannons protrude from the different "caps". Galleon's bow opens up completely, with the 3-sails becoming armor. The other's (barrels and treasure chests) open up to reveal their cannons.

GoukaiMachine Series 01 MagiDragon:
Releases- February
Price- 2,500 yen
Info-

Combines with GoukaiOh to form MagiGoukaiOh, in which the cannons are removed from the cap-ports, and MagiDragon is installed, adding a dragon head to GoukaiOh's chest, wings to the shoulders and dragon-claws to the feet.

GoukaiMachine Series 02 PatStriker:
Releases- March
Price- 3,000 yen
Info-

Combines with GoukaiOh to form DekaGoukaiOh, installing tires in the "Vulcan Ports". GoukaiOh is armed with Dual-Guns made from the PatStriker parts.

GoukaiMachine Series 03 GaoLion:
Releases- April
Price- 4,500 yen
Info-

Eyes light up, and a voice gimmick is installed. Combines with GoukaiOh to form GaoGoukaiOh. GoukaiOh's Legs are removed (not sure where they are stored) and GoukaiOh uses GaoLion as its "legs" in a Centaur Mode (similar to GaoKentaurus.)

GaoLion's alternate combination with GoukaiOh is interesting, because it doesn't seem to be a Gaoranger combination at all. The sillouhetted human-type robo combo seems to actually be a Shinkenger mode! GaoLion's head is on the chest, and the helmet has two-points, similar to ShinkenOh or SamuraiHaOh. The open Vulcan ports have the Shinkenger kanji on them, two "Ka" on the chest, "Sui" and "Ki" on both shoulders, and "Ten" and "Do" on the legs. The form itself resembles SamuraiHaOh, at least in sillouhette.

Henshin Keitai Mobirates:
Releases- 2/11
Price- 4,500 yen
Info-

A folding type cell phone henshin device. The upper portion it transformed into the "GoukaiMark" and light is emitted. On the lower button is a place for RangerKey insertion. More than 190 kinds of sounds are possible, with the device able to recognize 200 types of RangerKeys. Comes with GoukaiRed, Go-OnRed and ShinkenRed keys.

GoukaiGun:
Releases- February
Price-
Info-

The Rangers' gun sidearm. When pushes the trigger, an upper part of the gun appears for key insertion. The Keys seem to be used to activate a finishing move.

Comes with GoukaiBlue's Ranger Key.

GoukaiSabre (?):
Releases in- February
Price-
Info-

The Rangers' sword sidearm. Able to utilize the Ranger Keys. The GoukaiMark on the guard emits 7-colored lights. Official press material has called this the GoukaiKen. It unsure, at this time, what names they are going with. Sabre is obviously a bit more pirate-y.

Comes with GoukaiYellow's RangerKey.

GoukaiBuckle:
Releases in- February
Price-
Info-

Can store one ranger key in the belt buckle (in essence, similar to Shinkenger's belt buckles).

Comes with GoukaiGreen and GoukaiPink's Ranger Keys.

Ranger Key Set 01:
Releases in-
Price-
Info-

Ranger Keys included are GaoRed, VulEagle, MagiRed, GekiRed, and another. (Probably ChangeDragon, going from previous info)

Legend Sentai Items Set:
Releases in-
Price-
Info-

Scaled down versions of past Sentai arsenal. Included is the MagiPhone (12 sounds), ShinkenMaru, Mobirates, and another item. A MagiRed key is included.

Joint Gattai Series:

Scaled down versions of Past Sentai mecha. Utilizing the Mugenbine joints, each set runs you 3,000 yen. Releases include GaoKing (splits into the 5 power animals), EnjinOh (splits into the 3 Enjin, and looks able to form G12), MagiKing and DekarangerRobo.

RangerKeys:

SD-type ranger figures, sort of lego like. Transforms into a key by raising both arms, and then raising the lower half of the body forward from the back. The key part is made from a resin looking material, colored grey. When inserted into the Mobirates a "click" sounds.

More Goukai Toy Info (+ artist's conception of GoukaiOh)

GoukaiOh is made up of:

- GoukaiGalleon (Red), which forms the body and head.

- a Racecar (Green), which forms the left arm

-a Fighter plane (Blue), which forms the right arm and Pirate Hat

-A Trailer (Yellow), which forms the left leg

-A Submarine (Pink), which forms the right leg

When a dial is turned on the back of GoukaiOh, 5 "Caps" appear on the front side of the robot. Cannons attach/emerge from the caps, and the robot enters its "Hissatsu Form". The caps are located on the chest, arms and legs, so when the cannons open up, it gives you the feeling of a galleon opening fire. Additional parts can be installed onto the caps. GoukaiOh is said to resemble GrandLiner.

GoukaiMachine Series:

Composed of MagiDragon (2,500 yen), PatStriker (3,000 yen) and GaoLion (4,500 yen). These mechs can attach to GoukaiOh's caps, changing its forms.

-When combined with MagiDragon, a Dragon's Face is seen in the body. The front side of the feet also show dragon's feet-and-claws. This form is called MagiGoukaiOh.

-When combined with PatStriker, the body has a clear-look/PatoLamp appearence, as there is a luminesence gimmick, as well as tires being seen in some of the caps. Form is tentatively called DekaGoukaiOh.

-GaoLion can combine with GoukaiOh in two ways. The first, is in a Centaur Form (Kentaurus Gattai), as it did in Gaoranger. The form is tentatively called GaoGoukaiOh.
It also has a "Great Gattai" form, which is a humanoid form, but it is sillouhetted in the toy catalogue. Has a voice gimmick.

Joint Union Series (3,000 yen each)

Cheaper version of old robos with Mugenbine-like joints Included so far are EnjinOh, MagiKing and GaoKing.

Henshin Keitai Mobirates:

A folding-type cell phone henshin device. Keypad on bottom half, screen on top half. When the Goukaiger keys are inserted, the upper part is transformed, becoming the Goukaiger mark. Example- When the ShinkenRed Key is inserted, the Mobirates sounds "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Iza Mairu!". There is many different sounds, as stated, 190 listed.

Ranger Keys:

-Small figures of each of the past reds, and also of all 5 Goukaiger used for transformation.By folding at the back, the figure becomes a key. Using the keys, there are about 190 sounds the Mobirates can make. Red seems to come with the Mobirates, Blue and Yellow seem to come with the belt, Green comes with the GoukaiGun, and Pink comes with the GoukaiSword. There is a legendary 5 set, including 5 Red Ranger Keys, and the MagiRed key will come with MagiDragon.

Pink:
Koike Yui- http://www.foursp.jp/yui/blog/

Yellow:
Ichimichi Mao- http://ameblo.jp/ichimichi-mao/

OOO RUMORS:

-OOO's final form will be known as "EkusuOzu" (エクスオーズ) literally "X O's".

-OOO will activate this final form via the "Ancient Guarder" (エンシャントガーダー), which will attach to the Medal Scanner. Like Tajadoru, the Ancient Guarder will allow "reinforcement" of OOO's alternate forms.

-As X O's, he will use 6 Core Medals at a time to achieve each form. The Candroids will be utilized, and synchronization in the toys is also possible, along with new sounds.

-Another rumored has popped up about the 3rd Rider, and as before, Uva is rumored to have something to do with it. The 3rd Rider of OOO's belt system is made by Uva and Dr. Maki. Based again off the OOO system, this time the rider is named "Zeros". (Zeer-O's, ΘΘΘ)

-Transforms with a system similar to OOO, using the "Genjyuu Medals" (Mythical Beast Medals) which are a "NiJyurui Type" (Two variety type) of Cell Medal. The belt is split in halves, and the scanner is used with the left hand.

-It seems, much like what will be the case with birth, the Zeros system is going to be changing hands a lot. At first, Maki will use it to transform. It will even be used by the Greeds, and eventually pass to Shingo Izumi/Ankh.

-The Genjyuu Medals, unlike other Cell Medals, are replenish-able. They are more powerful than the Core Medals, because they utilize two kinds of Greed attributes.

-The Griffin Medal (combining the powers of Ankh and Kazari), The Dragon Medal (combining the powers of Ankh and Gameru), and the Mermaid Medal (combining the powers of Uva and Mezuru) allows Zeros to access his base form, known as "Greed Ride".

OOO, W and GOKAIGER INFO!

Birth, embodying Ryuuga apparently.

OOO:

-Mezuru and Gameru will be defeated, but seem to revive

-Birth has a "Gun Metabase". He is green in color. He attains his "Crane Arm" in the movie.

-It is unknown at what point the Nobunaga movie takes place in OOO, but it is definitely not anytime soon

-Kazari will meet up with Maki, they may work together

-There doesn't seem to be an actual Cokawani combo. Instead, the form may actual be weaponry-based. (new weapons for OOO)

-Gil, the dinosaur Greed, is a special character. There is a reason why he is not with the others currently.

-Shauta Combo will see its debut next year

-There is a lot more to come from OOO

MORE OOO INFO:

-Gameru sacrifices himself for Mezuru, trading his remaining Core Medals to Ankh for Mezuru's.

-A 5th Greed will appear. This Greed, Rusheru, is the "Mother of the Greeds". She seems to have more Core Medals.

-Kamen Rider Birth is actually Kazari, or more specifically, the human that Kazari chose. Kazari achieves this by forming a pact with Kougami's technology side.

-Ankh isn't a Greed at all. He's a Yummy. Somewhere else, the true Ankh exists, and he has 5 Core Medals with him.

-Kougami and Maki's plans are to revive the original OOO, possibly using Eiji as a "container" for his revival. This OOO would become "Artificial Greed, No. 3"

W:

ACCEL CHAPTER:

-Commander Dopant Appears.

-"Accel Booster" appears. This is an item that upgrades the Accel Memory and lets Ryuu attain and maintain the Yellow Accel form. The Commander Dopant will use this item too.

ETERNAL CHAPTER:

-Ice Dopant and Utopia Dopants appear

-The chapter serves as backstory to Never, not just Daido. and as such takes place before A to Z. Here, we find NEVER in a mission to a town composed of ESPers. Daido has in his control the T1 version of the Eternal Memory, but his transformation is unstable. He gains a new form, "Kamen Rider Eternal Red Flare" which is a red Eternal.

-Apparently, W appears briefly in this chapter, but has no real contact with anybody. It's just a cameo. (He is set to appear in the OOO Chapter.)

OOO CHAPTER:

-Details unknown. W is supposed to appear in this.

GOKAIGER:

- A sentai whose powers allow them to transform into past generations Sentai Warriors!

-When the occassion arrives where male colors must become females (and vice-a-versa) a skirt is attached. (I so called this!!!)

-Red's mecha is a Pirate Ship.

-The Gattai Robo has a pirate hat, and a cannon attached (to his arm possibly?)

-The Gattai Robo has "Rekidai Modes" (Past Generation Modes) "ShinkenOh Mode" has been confirmed.

-More info at the end of next month.

MORE GOKAI INFO:

-The Gokaiger's mentor and support character will be their commander, "Mirage Tantou" (essentially Commander/Chief Mirage.) He is described as having "no color", which to me means he's just not a ranger, but we'll see.

-Rival rangers show up. They are a combo team, black and white.

Kamen Rider OOO New Toys List + New OOO Info + New W Info

Tajadoru Fan Conception:

Kamen Rider Birth Henshin Belt:
Releases- 12/29
Description- N/A

Tajadoru Power Up Arms:
Releases- January
Description- Round-ish Bowgun

FAN CONCEPTION OF TAJADORU'S BOWGUN:

O-Medal Case:
Releases- February
Description- Aluminum Case for Medals

O-Medal Set 3:
Releases in- March
Description- Medals for Kamen Rider Birth

INFO:

-The Dinosaur Greed's name is Gil (Giru). It seems Gil betrayed his fellow Greeds.

-Kamen Rider Birth uses artificial Core Medals to transform, called "Cell Core Medals".

-It would seem the upcoming movie, Birth somehow helps OOO achieve Tajadoru Combo (remember it was rumored to be a "special" Taka medal, so maybe OOO uses one of Birth's Cell Core Medals.) The transformation to Tajadoru leaves Birth unable to utilize his own armor, so OOO lends him Mezuru's Core Medals, allowing Birth to achieve Shauta combo, armed with a whip weapon.

-If there was any doubt, the voice of Ankh (I guess they mean in Greed Form) will still be provided by Miura Ryousuke

-Some thought OOO's Dinosaur Form would be his Final Form. It is not.

W INFO:

-W's V-Cinema spinoff, ironically, will be split into 3 parts. The first part dealing with Accel, the 2nd with Eternal, and the 3rd with OOO. (Shades of Cho Den-O no?) W himself (themselves lol?)will only be appearing in the final chapter, the OOO chapter.

-There is word that this is not a V-Cinema at all, and will be released in the theatres. (Go check A to Z's profit, this isn't that strange at all. Movie Wars '11 is going to be gangbusters as well.)

More Gokaiger Info

-The Gokaiger's transformation item is apparently, the mini figures in conjuction with their belts. 5 CM sized, SD Red Ranger figures from past sentai are used to transform into those past rangers. The SD figs are kept in a basket on the belt, and then inserted into the belt to transform. Like W Gaia Memories, it seems the sounds are contained within the figures themselves.

-When inserting a past red figure the call sounds, "Change (Sentai Team Name)". For example, a Akaranger figure would sound the call, "Change Goranger!"

-Gokaiger colors are Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink. Yellow's actor is a woman, but she will have the power to assume male yellow rangers. (A little nod to Power Rangers perhaps?)

-Gokaiger's main villain seems to be named "Yami no Shinseikishi Niizu". Niizu seems to have the same powers as the Gokaiger, except his mini-figures are that of past villain groups' generals, and are used to summon them.

Gokaiger Rumors AND Info

NOTE: ALL RUMORS FOR GOKAIGER WILL BE GOING TO THIS POST, UNLESS THE RUMOR/INFO IS SIGNIFICANT. I'LL UPDATE THIS BLURB TO INFORM YOU OF WHAT HAS BEEN ADDED-

These are rumors, so please take with grains of salt.

STORY:

The Go-Kaiger, sharing the colors of the Goranger (Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Green)travel on the "Kyoudai Kaizokusen Queen Elizabeth Nisei" (The Giant Pirateship Queen Elizabeth the 2nd) to "All Sentai Worlds" as if the worlds were the 7 seas. The actors who perform the original characters have a "basis with the originals." In addition to fighting the enemy organizations of each world, the Gokaiger have their own villains to contend with; the "Uchuu Hakaisha Stronsoogu" (Space Destroyer Stronsorg)

CASTING:

RANGER COLORS ARE UP IN THE AIR AT THIS POINT. TAKE WITH GRAIN OF SALT.

GOKAIRED:
Sakurada Doori , aka Kotaro/Kamen Rider New Den-O, is rumored to be GokaiRed:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dori_Sakurada

I would love to see him as the red ranger- his portrayal of Kotaro shows a lot of red ranger tropes, and it'd be very interesting to see what he can do with it.

GOKAIBLUE:

GokaiBlue (a female in this rumor) is rumored to be played by Fukunaga Marika.

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%A6%8F%E6%B0%B8%E3%83%9E%E3%83%AA%E3%82%AB

http://talent.yahoo.co.jp/pf/detail/pp4509

Marika has had roles in dramas, movies, commercials and some specials.

GOKAIGREEN:

GokaiGreen is rumored to be played by Noguchi Seigo, who is notable for playing R2 in Tomica Hero Rescue Force:

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E9%87%8E%E5%8F%A3%E5%BE%81%E5%90%BE

http://ameblo.jp/fourpiece6/

GOKAIYELLOW:

GokaiYellow is rumored to be played by Iriki Mari, whose done some tv, movies, and commercials:

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%85%A5%E6%9D%A5%E8%8C%89%E9%87%8C

http://ameblo.jp/mari-iriki/

GOKAIBLACK:

GokaiBlack is rumored to be played by Yashiro Shingo, and if these rumors are true, he would be the oldest member of the cast. Could we be looking at a mentor type here, sort of like Asuka?:

http://www.ace-agent.net/yshingo.html

Past rangers appear in this work. As with Decade, it is to be a mix of old actors returning and new actors dawning the suits. Gokaiger will involve the rangers traveling a dimensional sea, and ending up in the worlds of past Sentai.

Depending on how they go about it, these worlds may actually be back in time, and having the old actors, in some cases, may not make any sense, especially given the fact that a good deal of them are not able to return, for one reason or another.

That said, there has been mention of certain actors being tapped for roles in Gokaiger. We shall see how it all pans out.

RANGERS:

The colors for the rangers are unknown, but most rumors point to the standard sentai color scheme (red, blue, yellow, green, pink).

ARSENAL:

-It is rumored that the Gokaiger's henshin device (and weapon) is a pirate sword.

MECHA:

-The Gokaiger's base will be a pirate ship. The pirate ship is rumored to be called the "GokaiGou". The pirate ship will transform into their 1st Robo.

VILLAINS:

-The villains will consist of the "Original Kaijin" that the older sentai fought against. It is unknown whether this means that there will be new monsters of old kaijin groups, only old monsters, or a mix of the two. It really depends on how they go about the different worlds thing.

OOO Rumors and Info

2ND RIDER: KAMEN RIDER BIRTH

-2nd rider is created by Kougami "improving upon" the OOO Driver

-Both the feet and hands of the rider have "holes" where it seems Cell Medals can be inserted.

-The rider's hand actual transforms into his own "ArmsScanner" which acts like OOO's

-Has capsules which give it weaponry, including "Shovel Arm, Crane Arm, Drill Arm, Caterpillar Leg, Cutter Wing, and the OOO Cannon. These capsules seem to act, or be part of, Birth's candroids.

UPDATE:

http://www.mpsnet.co.jp/hobbynet/gtroduhgone.aspx?pno=864564

The above link was posted on cowspot. It does not work, but that means it might have been pulled, or is blocked. I'm doing further searching for it now. Apparently, the link reveals info on the 2nd Rider's henshin gun:

"The 2nd Rider's Transformation Gun. Comes with 3 Core Medals, when inserted into the gun, the rider transforms. Can conduct Form Changes, and perform finishing moves by inserting Cell Medals from other toys."

-The name of the 2nd Rider may be Kamen Rider Gill. (referencing much?) He is rumored to make a cameo appearence in the new film.

Rumored combos for this rider are:

Yadokari (Hermit Crab), Kani (Crab), Ebi (Lobster)

Seiuchi (Walrus), Shirokuma (Polar Bear), Penguin

Sasori (Scorpion), Hachi (Bee), Mukade (Centipede)

Shika (Deer), Ushi (Cow), Gazelle

FUTURE OOO FORMS:

Tajadoru:
-OOO uses a special Taka Medal to become this form, which appears in the movie first. The Tajadoru in the movie seems to be from a special Taka medal, which is only to be used in the movie. Tajadoru will appear later on with the normal Taka Medal. This form is used alongsde CJGX in the movie to fight Kamen Rider Core.

Sagouzo:
-Sagouzo will have gravity abilities.

OTHER RUMORS:

-A researcher named Maki, (played by Kamio Yuu), will appear in the show.

-Sagouzo will appear before the year ends.

-Resulting from Sagouzo, Gameru gains his complete body back, however, he did not truly gain back all the medals, and so his form is incomplete.

-Mezuru absorbs Gameru, becomes gigantic, and runs amock. She seems to be defeated before the year is out.

-Date Koji will play Kamen Rider Birth. However, Goto may eventually get the powers.

More info regarding Go-kaiger

-One Piece was considered heavily in the realization of Go-Kaiger. The toys have been being planned for about a year.

-The Action Figures of past sentai are able to be inserted into the belt. Right now it would seem they either allow the rangers to transform into past senshi as previsouly rumored, transport to other worlds, or possibly both. The action figures are supposed to come in capsules, and the belt buckles open in a way similar to Shinkenger's. Thanks to cowspot, it would seem the action figures may actually be keys.

-The suit design has an "orthodox visor-mask".

-The team's pirate emblem bears a striking resemblence to the Crossbone Vanguard of Crossbone Gundam

-Robo Design has some Go-on and Gosei influence

-The first 2 episodes of the series will feature the appearence of all Sentai fleets

-They will appear in the Winter VS movie

-Robo has a similar sillouhette to GoseiGround, and seems to have dark coloring.

BIG UPDATE:

The following was just posted on yahoo.jp, by a poster:

http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/cm/personal?u=k2fQhx1m52zxsqOBFug57DKUmA4U4YLU

"I'm a person involved in Tokusatsu. The following is Cho-Netabare (Super Spoiler) so only read on if you want to be spoiled:

Next year, Sentai will join the route that Rider and Ultra have set upon.

The title of the new series is Kaizoku Sentai Go-kaiger, but that may be changed in the future. The series involves 5 senshi who wonder the sea of time-space in their changeable Combat Mothership. They have encounters/fight with heroes in the worlds of past sentai.

Finally, the world of Himitsu Sentai Goranger is scheduled to appear. Offers have already gone out for past actors to come back and reprise their roles. Miyauchi Hiroshi/Aoranger (and Kamen Rider V3!) and others are listed as part of the guest cast that will definately return.

Rival Characters are scheduled to appear as well, and one such character will be BioHunter Silva, who will appear in the Bioman episodes.

[RUMOR] New Go-Kaiger Rumors

One, until I hear otherwise, I am going to romanize Goukaiger, as Go-Kaiger. This is just based on the spelling of the katana, and it's likeness to Go-onger. That said, here are the latest rumors:

-The series will have definite influence from One Piece.

-Our heroes are humans from another dimension, who can use something like "Ki". The setup is described as Gingaman-poi (i.e. Gingaman-ish)

-Our main robot is composed of a "mothership" in the form of a Pirate Ship (forms the main body), with 4 animals forming the arms and legs respectively.

-One of the bad guys will probably wear an eye patch

-One of the bad guys has a hook on his right hand, in the fashion of Captain Hook

-Bandanas are worked into the helmet designs for the rangers

Goukaiger Copyrights!

Found these a little while ago. The copyright numbers go from 59981 to 6002, pretty much meaing these are the real deal. I personally checked if all the copyrights are listed on IPDL, and they are. Meaning, unless there is a drastic change by Toei, Kaizoku Sentai Goukaiger is our likely title for next year's sentai.

As always, please take with a grain of salt.

Rumor - 2011 sentai to be pirate themed?

This name just popped up on 2ch:

商願2010-60000 海賊戦隊ゴーカイジャー

Kaizoku Sentai Goukaiger

Pirate Sentai Goukaiger

Goukai means "heart, freespirited, heroic". But it can also mean "The Ocean of Karma." It's also possible the word "Kai" or shell has something to do with the name.

If we switch the "G" to a "K", then we get the word Koukai, or "High Seas". DaiKoukai was the rumored name for DaiVoyager at one point.

This does not displace any anniversary rumors, but it does give us our first concrete motif rumor.

PLEASE- take this with a grain of salt! like all othe rumors. Till we get an actual picture of the copyright for this title, no one should take it as anything more than a rumor. later:)

UPDATE!!

-Another rumor popped up connecting the pirate rumor to the anniversary rumor:

-The Henshin Device will indeed be a belt

-The rangers can transform into past rangers by placing FIGURES of them into their belt.

The poster of this info suggests that the rangers don't actually travel at sea (at least to any extent of time), but act more like Diend in Decade- going from world to world/land to land in a Pirate-fashion, meeting up with old heroes.

I'm starting to get excited guys:) But please, take everything with a GRAIN OF SALT. More info soon.

3rd Villain Rumor for Goseiger!

-The third set of villains after the fall of Yuumajyu will be called the "Dai Juu Ji Kuro Shougun" (Number 10 Character Black Star Army)

-They are made up of:

Jikuu Injya no Bure . Dran - Buredoran's new form, in the motif of a Black Dragon. His arcana is The Hermit.

Heikou Sekai no Wan . Ze - has the Arcana of The World. Name is based on "The One".

Kyuukyoku Koutei Rasu . Perar - has the Arcana of The Emperor. Name is based on "The Last Emperor."

-The new baddies originate from the sea of an alternate dimension. Through the power of the Elrei Seal that Buredoran gets from Makuin, he is able to seal a barrier placed on the Earth by Master Head, protecting it from any further invasion; this barrier was created at the time of WarStar's attack.

-The new enemies' motifs, along with keeping the movie titles theme, is based on the Arcana of Tarot Cards. While all the enemies have an Arcana motif, not all the Arcana represent enemies. The Arcana of stars seem to represent the Goseiger themselves.

-The movie titles theme may be one of Asian based/created cinema

New Sentai Rumor Post

-This post will be updated with new sentai rumors, as they come. Nothing here is confirmed, and so taking it with a big grain of salt is recommended.

So far we have:

-The new Sentai will appear in Goseiger VS Shinkenger. The new Sentai will be an anniversary type celebration show, like Decade for Sentai. The Cards will be used next year too, and past reds will show up in the new season, with as many old actors in tact as they can manage.

-A new "Key Item" will be marketed alongside the cards, much like the Headders were in Goseiger. Like the OOO medals, the key item might be usable with Dice-Oh

(NEW!!)
-It is rumored/suggested that Datas will stay behind on Earth when the Goseiger leave and assist the new team of heroes next year.

(NEW!!)
-Datas will gain a new form, the blue parts on him turning red. His voice actor will change. This change is rumored to happen in the team-up betwen Goseiger and Shinkenger.

(NEW!!)
-After transformation, the new rangers will utilize a new belt with disks. The disks will be of Dice-Oh compatability/design. The rangers will have a Badge on their left lapel, looking like SunVulcan. The disks will be usable with the henshin device.

Rumors on Goseiger VS Shinkenger and Movies Wars 2011

MOVIE WARS 2011:

-Kamen Rider Baasu appears. He uses an installation henshin system. Baasu's eyes are not circular, but U shaped, (colored black) and he looks very original, something unlike any other hero before. The lower half of his "U" eyes glow red, and he almost resembles Hakaider, complete with a capsuluar head.

-Sonozaki Fumine (Shroud) and Narumi Soukichi are childhood friends.

-Their partner seems to be played by Tarou Yamamoto (or this could be the character's name)

-"San Dopant" is mentioned, as are Bat and Spider

-The movie will be more serious than comedic, and it seems as though it will bring Akiko to a darker place as well

GOSEIGER VS SHINKENGER:

-The Gedoushuu manipulate ShinkenRed into attacking GoseiKnight. The under control ShinkenRed is known as "Gedou ShinkenRed".

-The New Sentai will appear in the film. The 35th Sentai will be the Decade-for-Sentai, and be a celebratory series. The series will feature the return of old Red Rangers, with the original actors returning, as much as possible.

Another Filler Season for Bleach, Cristina Vee as Mio, Xros Wars and Toku awesomeness!

Toku:

The last two episodes of Goseiger/Double were awe inspiring. Great writing, great drama, etc. Goseiger has hit the "breaking point" so to speak, and it's usually around the mid 20's where a Sentai becomes comfortable with itself, and the real storytelling begins. Can't wait.

Double's on its way out, but it's definately going to go out with a bang. If you haven't seen episode 46 yet, do so, you'll be pleased with yourself. Saying that, there are really only 3 episodes left, and I think, like Agito's last saga, the last 3 will almost feel like a OVA to the series (yeah I know the A in OVA stands for anime, so sue me.)

Oh yeah, OOO starts September 5th! So stay tuned for the needless drama that will result from fanboy hatred!

BLEACH:

With episode 287, Bleach followers will be subject to another filler season. Now, I for one, don't mind the filler seasons. It's either that, or go off air for 1-2 years while waiting for the manga to progress. As a fan of Haruhi Suzumiya, I can attest to that not being fun, so the filler seasons are at least watchable.

That said, the next filler season sounds interesting, as it will find Ichigo in an Arabian dimension/dream world, with doubles of his friends as new characters.

In general, the fillers have been okay. The Bount Saga was the best so far, as it actually fit into the flow of the show, even though it wasn't from the manga. Amagai, Zanpakuto and Sword Fiends (haven't watched fiends yet to be honest) don't, and while they still have their good points, its hard for me to reconcile them.

This new saga sounds like it could actually be a 25-ep long dream sequence, which is fine, because then they can steal squeeze it into the actual plot somehow.

DIGIMON XROS WARS HOUR SPECIAL!:

First, if you're a fan of digimon, or anime in general, and you haven't watched the behemoth that is Xros Wars, do yourself a favor, and cling to the bandwagon. The show, which is essentially a "reboot" (there's that word again) of the franchise is really thrilling. It sort of takes the good from all past series, and puts it together. It also airs at a later time, and is really sort of a family show, more than something just for the kids.

Anway, episodes 10 and 11 of the series are being aired in one go, as an hour special, 2 weeks from now at7 PM (6 AM Eastern Time in the US). The hour episode will feature Elizabeth from Double as Bastemon, the Princess whom our main characters must try and save.

Anyway, tune in if you haven't. I have a feeling the show is going to become something really, really great.

CRISTINA VEE IS MIO in the dub of K-On!:

Ever since I heard her sing Don't Say Lazy, I prayed that she would get this part, and now she has and all is right with the world. To add to this, Stephanie Sheh is playing Yui (if you don't know Stephanie Sheh, you haven't been watching anime dubs recently.)

Those are the only two cast members revealed. As for the other 3 girls, I would like the following:

Ritsu- Wendee Lee
Mugi- Michelle Ruff
Azusa- Kari Wahlgreen

Wendee Lee and Kari Wahlgreen both fit their characters perfectly, and although Michele Ruff isn't the first person you'd think of for Mugi, I think she can really get the highs and lows of the character down.

More news of the toku variety as it comes out! (Sorry for the rambling, I just was very excited about this stuff!)

Manpuku Shojou Dragonet Episode 3 Review/Summary

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT

There are some spoilers here. If you don't want to be spoiled, don't read this. If you don't mind, then by all means.

Episode 3- Tatakae Luna! Mago no Mujitsu wo Shoumeiseyo! (Fight Luna! Prove the Grandchild's Innocence!)

NOTES BEFORE WE START:

The Dragonet sister's names when in RyuuSenshi form are as follows:

Maya- DragoTorte
Mei- DragoSouffle'
Luna- DragoChocolat

As you can see, all based on desserts.

So last week was Mei's focus episode. This week is Luna's (Yes, I'm going to use Luna, even though Runa is technically correct too.) Next week is Maya's.

SUMMARY:

We begin with 2 of ToraZoku's members, Tetsuma and Kengo, eagerly awaiting a delivery from a Pudding Chef, so they can sell to their long-waiting line of customers. Not exactly my first thought when I think "evil plan" but just you wait.

Anyway, the chef/delivery guy Ryuta, gets there eventually. The pudding starts selling, and everyone seems peachy, especially Ryuta. Some time passes (Ryuta already gone) and we see that in reality, the Tiger Clan was merely waiting for the owner of the house next to them to leave. Initiate evil plan. But first- finish selling the pudding!

It should be noted that Tetsuma and Kengo are really likable. We didn't get to see Kengo talk so much as of yet, but now we do. Tetsuma is almost...well almost nice. Kengo is scheming, but still, not as bad as the other 2 members waiting back in the den. They almost remind me of a Lennie and George kind of thing...but you know, only if Lennie and George were super criminals.

So anyway, because this episode must advance the plot, the next customer to show up is none other than Tsukasagi Luna! (Because it is her episode). Another note here- the makeup, or maybe the acting, for this part is really good. Luna is sweating- not unnaturally, or comedically, but just enough so you can tell she's been running. I like that the production isn't afraid to make the show realistic, when it needs to be.

Anyway, Tetsuma realizes who Luna is right off the bat. Why you say? Here's where the spoiler is. In the end ep 1, we discover Tetsuma really is...Kaitou Dalmation! As such, he knows the identity of the Dragonet sisters already. Hiding his knowledge from her, and possibly Kengo, she goes on her way with newly bought pudding.

An older woman appears, wanting to buy some putting, but alas, our hardworking villains are out. That other girl just bought the last 4. But being the generous heroine, Luna gives up the pudding she bought and gives it to the old woman, saying she needs a diet. (In no way does this girl need a diet, hence, she is being nice, because she is the heroine.) Tetsuma witnesses this good deed, and you can it actually has some effect on him.

-CUE FLYING YELLOW DRAGON! (The scene changes are done by one of the girls' dragons flying over the screen. I will say that the dragons are animated much better here than in their henshin sequences.)

The next day- At the house where the Tiger Clan was staking out, the rare Pink Tiger Diamond (oh how I love reference!), has been stolen. Again, as always, the culprit is Kaitou Dalmation, and has left his calling card (cute dalmation-head card) as proof. Hassei Takano, I mean, Miyasaka is on the scene, once again fuming that he's been bested by Dalmation.

Over at Tokuko's detective agency, Tokuko is explaining the basics of the Clan's origins, for the benefit of the Dragonet Sisters, but mostly for the audience. Basically, there are 3 clans: The HitoZoku (Human Clan), ToraZoku (Tiger Clan), and RyuuZoku (Dragon Clan). The 3 Clans, when peaceful, maintain balance in the world. However, long ago, ToraZoku sought control, and thus upset the balance. It is up to the RyuuZoku to protect the HitoZoku, but the humans cannot know about the fight.

Tokuko calls the girls to order. There's a more important matter at hand! Why didn't Luna bring the pudding she asked for? Pretty much, Tokuko is selfish and has no comprehension of spending money. She's the mentor figure, but is more like the girls' spoiled litter sister. (in a good way.)

Meanwhile Ryuta is at the previous site of the pudding stand, wondering where the salesman aka bad guys have gone too. The old woman from before shows up, and it's revealed to be Ryuta's grandmother. She wanted to try his pudding, a recipe of his grandfather's (or something like that.) Our dedicated detective Miyasaka shows up and logically, if unfairly, tries to arrest Ryuta. His friends selling the pudding were shown on tape stealing the Pink Tiger, and he must be in on it with them, at least he thinks. Ryuta claims innocence though.

Miyasaka knocks over the grandmother, as she is trying to get Ryuta free, and is quickly decked in the face by Luna. (with a comic book Ka-pow! in English!) Miyasaka recognizes Luna as the "little Tsukasagi girl" (essentially calling her a b*tch), because Takano is allowed to do that. He really does not like this family.

Miyasaka explains to Luna that last night, the two pudding salesman broke into the house, stole the Pink Tiger Diamond, and that Ryuta has to be the Dalmation's accomplice. (Funny bit- we see the security camera footage; Tetsuma is not disguised, and Kengo gives a victory sign at the camera before the walk away with the diamond.)

To the tune of X-Files background music (the strings that are often heard in X-Files. Actually really creepy, and it kind of works here in an out-of-place sort of way), Miyasaka hauls Ryuta off, because as we've established Hassei can do whatever he wants.

Much to the dismay of the pudding-starved and money-hungry Tokuko, it seems that Luna promised the grandmother she'd get Ryuta free. When asked why, Luna explains that he's innocent, and he's making the puddy as respect for his grandfather, it being his dream etc. (It's actually really well acted, I'm just being snarky. Plus, if I explain everything in detail, this review will be 25 pages long.)

Tokuko doesn't care, she just wants some pudding. Mei asks the question- what if Ryuta is really a friend of Dalmation? Maya brings up the point that it might be a waste of time for them. (They really do remind of the Power Puff Girls in their attitudes.) Luna storms off, saying she'll find the culprits herself, and prove Ryuta's innocence. (And thus, the title did maketh sense.)

Alone and said, sitting at a temple, Luna is trying to figure out what to do. Enter Takumi (for those of you who forgot, he's the Tsukasagi's delivery boy). He has something for her from her father (he calls him chief). At first not wanting to see it, she opens the envelope he brought and in it is a picture of the Pink Tiger Diamond, and its twin, the Blue Tiger Diamond. Essentially, as Mr. Tsukasagi puts it, without one of the diamonds, the other one is useless. So Dalmation is going to need both.

Thus, Luna knows Dalmation's next move, and can prove Ryuta's innocence if she catches him in the act. It is revealed that Mei and Maya are watching the two speak, pretty much asserting for themselves, and the audience, that they are there for their little sis.

Meanwile, at Tiger Clan central, which is a bar I think. The leader, Shigeru (Tetsuma's older brother) holds the Pink Tiger Diamond up to the light, and a half a symbol is formed onto a piece of paper. (I think it's the top of the Tiger kanji, but I'm not sure.) Shigeru remarks that without the other (Blue Tiger diamond) it's not complete.

Tetsuma walks in, and it is revealed next to Shigeru, that Kengo is doing dishes, because he's a polite villain, and I appreciate that. Tetsuma asks Kengo if it's true- did Ryuta really get arrested? He had no part in this. Kengo replies that it's true, and feels somewhat sorry for it, but not so much as Tetsuma. Shigeru, being the ever scheming bastard, decides that if the police are so focused on Ryuta, then should let him be. This way, they can steal the Blue Tiger more easily. Tetsuma resists but his older brother is quick to put him in his place. You're in an evil organization Tetsuma, come on now!

Tetsuma leaves to secure the other diamond, under Shigeru's orders. Shigeru summons Jinguuji, our resident enforcer for the series. Shigeru tells him to keep an eye on his little brother. (He literally says- Ototo, Tanomu i.e. I'm leaving my brother up to you.)

Let's stop for a moment, and examine the other side of the Tiger Clan, the serious bad guys side. Shigeru is a jerk, plain and simple. The whole group may have 200+ IQ's, but he's the only one that seems to be using it maliciously. He's not evil persay, none of them are really, but he's definitely a villain. Jinguuji (first name Akinobu) is the enforcer; Shigeru's power house. I have a feeling he's going to be the one who delights in battle, but we'll get to that later.

Meanwhile, Luna shows up at a rich/eccentric woman's house (the owner of the Blue Tiger Diamond), and uses Honey Fla...err...Pochito Change! (Change a bit!, though it may be a pun on Korepocchi too. Essentially, it's a power that allows to change costume, but not assume Dragonet form),to disguise herself as a maid. (This is a magical girl series. For those who are unfamiliar with the genre, assume that the heroines can change into costumes often, and excessively. All thanks to Cutie Honey:) )

Inside, Luna is listening to the eccentric ramblings of the rich woman she is now employed to. (I really should have seen the maid disguise coming. Luna wears glasses after all. Sort of a no-brainer. Plus, her Dragonet armor has a maid-choker thing). Anyway, Ms. Eccentric stock character shows Luna her "treasure" which is a key with a diamond on the end of it. Guess what that key leads to?

Rather creepily, another maid, dressed in black-and-white, complete with matching DALMATION head band (hint-hint), shows up. She's been working here for a week. Creepy maid moves like a ghost, and the actress portraying her is very good, and very creepy. For some reason, there's a squelching noise when she smiles, and no, I don't want to think about why.

Luna creeps on over to a closed room (the cinematography is pretty awesome here), and tries to open the door, but it's locked. Go figure. Creepy maid creepily shows up again, asking what Luna's doing. Luna replies that she's trying to clean the room. Creepy replies back that only she is allowed to clean that room, and brandishes the eccentric lady's key, entering the room. Luna is rightfully stumped and scared.

Wondering why she is being treated badly by the creepy maid (who's only 1-week her sempai), Luna stumbles upon the unconcious form of her eccentric benefactor. Realizing that creepy maid stole the key from her, Luna rushes back to the other room.

Luna confronts Creepy Maid, who has possesion of the Blue Tiger. When she asks who the maid is, she just laughs, and transforms into Kaitou Dalmation. (It's nice to see that a guy has disguise powers in one of these shows, though it leads to my belief that he's on the way to being a hero, not a villain.)

Leaving his calling card, and about to flip out of their Jason David Frank style, Dalmation is stopped by Luna's assertion that it's his fault Ryuta is in jail. Her pleading has somewhat of an effect on him, until of course he jumps out the window, and she must pursue.

Declaring he won't be forgiven, Luna changes. Now again, on the Henshin sequences. They're pretty good, except for that damn dragon! I've realized now what bugs me about it. When the dragons are used for the scene changes, they are very fluid. In the henshin, it feels like they're not moving like dragons. It also doesn't help that they are designed with a muscular-chest, which takes away from the serpentine form. Going to stop complaining about this now though.

Before we go on, I should say that I think Luna is the main character here. At the very least, she gets the catchphrase at the end of the role call, and she gets focused on in the ending. Could be wrong though, but right now, she seems to be the main focal point.

Anyway, DragonChocolat and Kaitou Dalmation start their battle! (Most ridiculous sentence I have ever typed, btw.)

Again, the fight choreography is very nice to look at, and the fighting is very entertaining. Luna is very powerful, but Tetsuma/Dalmation is even more so. She fights with fists-a-flying, and he is calmly using her own aggresion against her. Very good martial arts sense Dalmation has.

Luna starts tearing up, pretty much calling out Dalmation as a jerk- not caring about the bonds of the heart and all that. Tetsuma seems to take this pretty hard, and now instead of dodging her attacks, pretty much just throws her around. He follows this up by smacking her side with his pimp cane (no, not making that up. He has a dalmation colored pimp cane.)

She lands hard after rolling down some stairs, and it seems her shoulder is either sprained, dislocated or the like. The point is, she can't use one arm, and yet, she gets up and continues on towards Dalmation. The two fight on, Dalmation still having the advantage (he even goes for her working arm with his cane. Using a combination of punches from her good arm, and kicks, she is able to spin kick him into a pillar (It's pretty badass), knocking him to the floor, and also knocking his mask off his face.

Angered by this, Dalmation just up-and-owns Luna, knocking her around some more. However, when he knocks her off balance, and she is about to fall, he grabs her hand to stop her. Why? Because in the path of her fall were a group of little flowers. (He's just like BlackWarGreymon that way.) He pulls her away, letting go. But just then, Tetsuma notices something in the sky that sounds like thunder.

He tells Luna to move, and knocks her out of the way as he is blasted by a red-black swirling vortex of death. It knocks him down, and Luna witnesses the source- out of the sky comes a man flying in a spinning tornado, red lighting surround him (Yes, you heard me right). Who is it? None other than Jinguuji of course. (I told you he was the enforcer). Jinguuji lands next to the flowers, and steps on them because he can.

Jinguuji gives the death stare to Luna, calling Tetsuma a fool. Before Luna can be hurt anymore, Mei and Maya show up. They ask for the Blue Diamond, but Jinguuji tells them to suck it, because he can. And thus, he picks up the unconcious Tetsuma, and flies away in his lighting-tornado thing. (So very cool)

Mei and Maya console Luna, because in her own words, she was completely useless- not only did she not stop the Blue Tiger from being stolen, but now Ryuta's sort of up the river without a paddle as well.

Elsewhere, Miyasaka and Tokuko are having a nice, rooftop chat. (Erika has dragon symbols on her stockings. Just noticed this. They could maybe be tattooes) It's implied here there's some kind of relationship with the two that isn't professional. Miyasaka wants her to come back to the fold as it were (he was her former boss in the MPD).

At the detective agency, it is revealed that Ryuta has been freed! Probably due to Tokuko's talk with Miyasaka. It's not mentioned specifically, I don't think, but logically, Miyasaka knows that he's not the culprit now, let's leave it at that. Anyway, the Dragonet sisters are chowing down on some of Ryuta's pudding (should I rephrase this sentence?) when Tokuko comes in. Where is hers she asks? Ryuta swears he brought 4. Meaning one of the girls ate hers! As she goes for Luna's, she pulls away, and Tokuko falls as we freeze frame.

Cue Ending Song!

NEXT TIME:

Maya has to become a model! Why? To protect other models of course. And also, because this is probably aimed at a male audience...

REVIEW (AKA THE FINAL ATTACK RIDE):

This episode gets an 8 out of 10. Maybe even a 9. It exceeded the expectations set by 1 and 2 in so many ways. For one, we got the villain dynamic out in this episode.

Tetsuma is essentially good, but his brother is the big bad, and its sort of a family thing. Shigeru's a jerk, but that's fine. Jinguuji is a powerhouse who could probably crush our heroines by only thinking about it, and Kengo is the wild card. He's Tetsuma's friend, but he's just kind of sitting in silent amusement of everything.

The sisters are good in it too, and Luna is definitely my favorite right now. I actually thought I would like Mei the best, as she seemed to be the "darker" one of the bunch, but she isn't really. Luna's sort of a badass, fighting only using one arm, she was pretty good.

Hassei and Erika don't fail to please again. I just love seeing them in these unusual roles. There's definitely are dark-ish past between them, involving why Tokuko left the force.

We don't see the parents (goodie!) but I kind of wanted to, because I know if I see them enough, they'll grow on me.

The guest stars were okay (Ryuta, grandma, old eccentric lady, creepy maid) but I think the standout character from this show is probably Takumi. He comes off as the most natural, and its hard not to like the hardworking nice guy. If Luna is really the main character (and I'm pretty sure she at this point), I think there's going to be a triangle between her, Takumi and Tetsuma, much like early Sailor Moon relationship stuff.

Anyway, that's all for now. Hope you guys can, and will, get your hands on this show. It's very entertaining.

Manpuku Shoujo Dragonet

http://dragonet.jp/

Manpuku Shoujo Dragonet or Dragonette, the title literally meaning "Full Health Girl Dragonet", is a new toku series from the people who brought you Garo and Cutie Honey. Only problem? No one on the non-Japanese forums seems to have mentioned it yet. (Note: I could be wrong, and thus am making myself look like an idiot posting this, but hey, whatever.)

Just finished watching the first 2 episodes, and I thought I'd give you guys a character breakdown/impression of the show so far.

THE STORY:

Tsukasagi Maya (17), Tsukasagi Mei (16) and Tsukasa Runa (15) are 3 sisters of a high class. The three work as detectives in their Aunt's (Tuskasagi Tokuko) Detective Agency. At the same time, they help out their parents in a Chinese Restuaurant which they own. Cases for the girls range anywhere from solving mysterious accidents, to tracking down lost puppies.

But why are these 3 High School girls so good at what they do? It is because these 3 have a certain special power. The 3 are actually descendants of the RyuuZoku (Dragon Clan) and have the ability to transform into the "Ryuu Senshi (Dragon Warriors) Dragonette."

The 3 sisters who crack cases by using the maximum power of the RyuuZoku. However, a mysterious shadow has fallen over the 3 sisters...

CHARACTERS:

THE HEROES (RYUU ZOKU/DRAGON CLAN):

Tsukasagi Maya (17 years old):

played by Kubo Yurika http://www.jmo.co.jp/profile/kubo_yurika001.htm

The master woman. She is the facilitator of the 3 Tsukasagi sisters. Works for her aunt Tokuko's Detective Agency with her sisters. As a descendant of the RyuuZoku she is blessed with certain special abilities, and she uses these efficiently to bring solutions to the crime. Her abilities include being able to read an object's memory, and superhuman strength.

Tsukasagi Mei (16 years old):

played by Uchida Ayaka http://www.weblio.jp/content/%E5%86%85%E7%94%B0%E3%81%82%E3%82%84%E9%A6%99

The second daughter. She is the most active of the sisters. She fights by using a Kenpo known as "Pikaichi". She is cautious before acting on anything. It is possible that she has the most ability to use the powers of the RyuuZoku.

Tsukasagi Runa (15 years old):

played by Momose Misaki http://www.horipro.co.jp/talent/PF109/

The third daughter. Out of the 3 sisters, she is the most obedient. However, she is also the worst at combat. Because of this she is often angry, and does not hide it. She has the ability to read minds, along with superhuman strength, but her abilities have certain limitations.

Tsukasagi Tamiko:

played by Miho Junhttp://talent.yahoo.co.jp/pf/detail/pp2369

Co-Owner of the RyuuOh Manseki (Dragon King Over Capacity), the Chinese Restaurant that her and her husband manage, and in which her 3 daughters help out. Her food delivery restaurant was an overnight hit. She and her husband are never seen not smiling.

Tsukasagi Tokuko:

played by Erikahttp://www.co-aza.net/erika/index.html

Tamiko's sister, and the girls' Aunt. She is the Head Detective of the Detective Agency which includes her and the 3 sisters. She used to be part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division. A Super-Beauty who catches the eye of men and women alike. Has absolutely no monetary sense, and is a weakling for the words "Five Star." As such, she spends money likes its going out of style. And as a result, the Detective Agency is usually in some sort of debt, but she never seems concerned about that. She still makes the 3 sisters pay for things though...

THE VILLAINS (TORA ZOKU/TIGER CLAN):

Gamou Shigeru:

played by Yoshimura Takuyahttp://www.amuse.co.jp/artist/yoshimura_takuya/

Descendant of the Tora Zoku. His IQ is somewhere past 200. The leader of the 4 existing Tiger Clan members. He finds it intolerable that fools are running the world, when people with excellent genes, like the Tora Zoku, can do so much better. The Tora Zoku have the ability to manipulate people's minds, making them work for them in acts of crime...

Kurashina Kengo:

played by Kawabata Isshihttp://ameblo.jp/isshi-kawabata/

Another descendant of the Tora Zoku, and also has an IQ that exceeds the 200 mark. Bright person, and a Sportsman.

Jinguuji Asanobu:

played by Tanaka Shigetohttp://news.goo.ne.jp/entertainment/talent/M08-1140.html

Another Super-Genius of a 200+ IQ, and a descendant of Tora Zoku. He is cool throughout any situation, and neither Kengo or Tetsuma can really comprehend his thoughts.

Gamou Tetsuma

played by Uji Kiyotakahttp://www.stardust.co.jp/profile/ujikiyotaka.html

Like the others, a 200+ IQ genius. Shigeru's younger brother. Because of that, he is often underestimated and unnoticed by the other three, and often tries to make them notice him, going to uncessary lengths to do so.

NON-CLAN CHARACTERS:

Tsukasagi Daizaburou:

played by Mie Haruhttp://www.asaikikaku.co.jp/profile/mieharu/

Co-Owner of the RyuuOh restaurant along with his wife, Tamaki. Father of the 3 sisters. He is a man who is always smiling, and whose only problem is he cannot spend more time with his wife, because they are so busy.

Shimizu Takumi:

played by Kawamura Ryousukehttp://www.asaikikaku.co.jp/profile/kawamuraryousuke/

A young man who was impressed with Daizaburou's cooking, and was made a disciple of his by force, becoming their deliveryman. He is hot-blooded, and has a crush on Runa. Motorcyles are his hobby.

Miyasaka Kennosuke:

played by Hassei Takanohttp://roughgroup.com/management.html

Section chief of the Tokyo MPD's Criminal Investigation unit. He was Tokuko's former Supervisor. He is always on the scene of the crime in the girls' cases, usually at odds with them, sometimes even calling them the criminals.

Kaitou Dalmation (Phantom Thief Dalmation):

A Tuxedo Kamen esque thief, with a Dalmation-colored mask, wearing a weird comibination of white shorts and a black suit jacket. He is not allied with anyone, but his powers seem to show he has some sort of ties to the Tora Zoku.

Now for the Review Part!:

A Disclaimer:

If you have a natural aversion to Kawaii Culture, Moeism, or anything of that sort, this may not be the show for you. If you live under the belief/dillusion that toku should, and is meant to be, serious, this show is not for you.

If however, you are like me, and enjoy some fun, please, watch. Fans of Cutie Honey and Sailor Moon (the animated or live versions) should deal well with this show. Warning, I don't think anyone's subbing this, so if you hate raws...sorry.

THE GOOD, aka, The Reasons you should watch this show-

(CASTING):

First up, merely on shallow ground, we have Erika and Hassei Takano in the same show. That's right, crazy Lesbian Jaguar woman from Panther Claw, and Kamen Rider Raia/updated Nigo in the same show. Merely on awesome points, this should make you at least want to check out the show.

Both of them are playing different kinds of characters, at least different from what I'm used to seeing them as. Erika is a mysterious ditz here, a woman who enjoys money and acts stupid, but really has it all figured out. Her playing Tokuko here reminds me of Yuko from xxxholic quite a bit.

Hassei is totally different for me, playing this show's Stottlemeyer (come on Monk fans, I know you're still out there!). He's almost an Anti-Shotaro, which could be the case, since this is out the same as double, and the production team behind it is the one behind Kamen Rider. Anyway, he's pretty entertaining, if a little bit awkward at times, but I'll get to that.

As for the other characters. Well, they're okay. The acting in general in this show is awkward, and it's probably meant to be. Sans the villains, the characters are in mock of anime, so everything is almost, animated. Only 2 episodes in, so I don't want to criticize acting ability quite yet.

ACTION:

If you know AAC stunts, you know what they can do. The action is fast paced, fun to watch, and like in Cutie Honey, is more often than not played for humor, and it tends to be semi-sexual. The attacks the girls use are very much a sentai spoof, and scream "Magical Girl". But the action makes up for it.

HUMOR:

There's some funny stuff. Not laugh-out-loud yet like Cutie Honey, but I'm sure it'll get there. (Can't really beat Mark Musashi screaming curses, now can you?). One funny moment from ep one was Runa trying to match her sisters in jumping over a cabinet, and smacking right into said cabinet.

MUSIC:

The opening and ending songs are great. Catchy as hell, and possibly annoying to some for that reason. The opening credits is done as mostly anime, and the animation is actually pretty good. Hariken Love is a good song, at least it fits.

The ending song is really cool, mostly because it's in Chinese, and it's something totally different from the opening. Main character walking down street, very Hibiki-esque, but a lot more upbeat.

MOE FACTOR:

Like I said above, if you are scared or angered by Moe situations, not the show for you. The Dragonet sisters, when not in their scantily-clad leather armor forms, are in scantily clad school girl outfits. We never see their school, or at least we haven't yet...but hey, I'm not going to complain.

VILLAINY:

The villains are cool. There, I said it. The descriptions make them sound quite bland, and they kind of are, but in a good way. Unlike the girls, who descend from the Dragon Clan, the all boys villain club descend from the Tiger Clan. Instead of the moe-fashion, their transformation gives them vampiric-esque Tiger-teeth, and slit-eyes. It's a little corny, but they are intimidating.

The group actually reminded me of the Grongi a bit, if you fused them with Queen Beryl's reverse-harem of lackies. But cool.

FAMILIARITY:

The show feels like something you've seen before, in a good way. The characters almost feel like grownup Power Puff Girls, or at least, that's the direction I think they are heading in. 2 was a Mei focus, 3 is a Runa focus, and we haven't gotten a Maya focus yet, but I'm assuming that's coming. If you're a fan of Cutie Honey, you'll like this, but it doesn't quite have the undertone Cutie did yet. I think it will though, it's got the same staff, and some good people behind it.

Dalmation, whose identity we may or may not found out in episode 1, is very much a spoof of Tuxedo Mask. There's a bunch of things.

THE BAD, aka, WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE BUT MAYBE YOU WILL:

THE PARENTS:

People who know my opinions on Toku know I like my slapstick. But the parents...the parents here are far too stiff and goofy for my liking, right now. I'm sure, like Cutie Honey, we're going to get some darker backstory, and I'll be singing their praises. But for right now, they just seemed kind of blah. They didn't make me hate the show, but they just felt stale.

THE EFFECTS:

The effects are crappy. Not gonna lie. The show seems low budget, and the effects reflect that. Luckily, as I said before, the action more than makes up for it, and besides the henshin sequence, things like attacks are usually silly-on-purpose. The practical parts of the Henshin are all right, but the cgi dragons are just not up to snuff.

EPISODIC POSSIBLY...MAYBE?:

The show seems to be going a case-by-case basis, like with Double. Unlike Double however, the bad guys seem to have nothing to do directly with the cases, at least not yet. (Dalmation was the antagonist in ep 1, and in 2, Tiger Clan-controlled civilians did the thievery). As such, right now the show has this seperated feeling. Not bad, but I'll have to wait and see.

FINAL ATTACK RIDE:

I'll give this show, based on episode 1 and 2, a 6.5/10. It's certainly not bad. Rather entertaining actually, but as I always say, Tokusatsu should never be judged until you've at least seen past episode 10, at least 5. The backstory, if fleshed out, could be really good.

It seems they are going with some sort of Kung Fu influence, I think. It'll be interesting to see where all the plots go, and if they explain anything in depth. This could after all, just be a show for entertainment's sake, and hey, why's that so wrong? I'll be watching 3 in a bit. I think the review part was sort of basic, but I didn't want to spoil anything. More on this, and other stuff soon.
